I'm HAngry!
Before going to Odiongan, my mother told me a story about my aunt who visited a province a long time ago. She drank water that was offered to her by a local then suddenly, she felt stomach pain. Aside from this, my mother also know someone who visited a province and they believed this person experienced gayuma. This person was tapped on the shoulder then the next thing she knew, she was vomiting non-stop. These stories scared me to death. My mother told me that I should know the safe place to eat and I shouldn't accept drinks that are offered to me.

My teammates were warned by their parents of such circumstances like that. That's why on our first night in Odiongan, we ate in Jollibee because that is the only store we are familiar with. The morning after that, we tried to roam around the place to look for something to eat. Being unfamiliar to the place, we were scared to eat on local restaurants that's why we had no choice but to eat in Jollibee again.

Before I know it, we ate food from Jollibee everyday, three times a day. There was one moment where we can't really eat in Jollibee anymore or else we would forever hate that fast food restaurant of a happy bee. We ate in a tapsilogan even though we were scared to try restaurants we are not familiar with. We don't really have a choice, but I think the food there was safe because I am still here writing this blog.

We still ate in Jollibee, but at least it's wasn't three times a day. We had no choice but to eat in Jollibee for breakfast and dinner because stores there open late in the morning and closes early in the afternoon. Jollibee and few restaurants (that are too expensive for us) are the only ones open early in the morning and late at night. Luckily for us, other teams are brave enough (unlike us) to try different eateries in the area. We would then ask them about the food before we try eating in the places they have tried.

There were two restaurants that I liked a lot in Odiongan. First is the StrEat Cafe. The place has a chill vibe and the staff were so friendly. They welcomed us and even took pictures of us. They serve food that are not too expensive but it will surely make you not hAngry anymore. What I like best in their place is the milk tea. I swear i can just order their milk tea alone and I will be full and satisfied. There are areas in the restaurant wherein you can take pictures with your friends and the restaurant itself is aesthetically pleasing.

The other restaurant that I enjoyed is the Ghetto Plates. They serve different sizzling dishes, delightful meals, and mouth-watering pizza. It is pretty affordable for broke students like us too. The vibes of the restaurant shouts night life in Odiongan. You can definitely hang out with the barkada in this place. If we didn't eat there with our coach maybe we would have experienced the night life in Odiongan. Kidding.

Food helps you function through out your day. Bad food means low energy, that's why I always eat food that can satisfy me. Going home from Romblon, I probably won't eat in Jollibee for quite some time. These two restaurants made up for my hAnger because of never-ending Jollibee meals and bad food in the ferry. If you are going to visit Odiongan, I suggest you try these two restaurants. I assure you that they are gayuma-free but it will surely feels like gayuma when you taste their scrumptious meals.

P.S. We found a Bingsu Place in Odiongan but unfortunately, we didn't have a chance to try their bingsu. For those people going to Odiongan, please try it for me.
