UP Cramming Mahal
It was a sunny morning in Odiongan, all delegates from different state colleges and universities were busy practicing their yell except UPLB. My teammates and I was planning to jog around the campus, but it didn't happen. Instead, we watched other teams as they prepare for the games on the following days.

We were told to wear our white jersey and jeans during the parade. We were also told weeks before the trip to Odiongan that we won't get jacket and jogging pants this year because the fund wasn't able to cover it. The ferry ticket was too expensive that's why we were given 2 jersey shirts and shorts only.

It was 2 in the afternoon, it was awfully hot specially because of our attire. We wanted to wear shorts but we were told that we are not allowed to wear shorts and slippers. I was beyond shocked and slightly envious when I saw the delegates from other state colleges and universities. They were all wearing a complete set of sweat pants, jacket, and hat. I thought at that exact moment, "'Di ba sila naiinitan?" and "Shux, sana all may jacket."

I was shocked for the second time when we were obliged to walk around the barangay under the scorching sun. It was then I felt slightly thankful that there wan't enough funds for the jacket. If we would have been a jacket, we will be obliged to wear that, and maybe I would have fainted during the parade.

The third time I was shocked that day is when other universities and colleges started chanting their yell. The UPLB Men's Volleyball Team saved the day with their expert cramming technique. They came up with a yell, and not just a simple yell but an amazing yell. Eventually, every teams from UPLB learned the chant and started yelling with the UPLB MVT.

I think the locals liked the yell because they were smiling and clapping with us. As expected, I was shocked again because there were locals on the sidewalk giving the delegates water and candy. Odiongan locals were really hospitable and I liked it. The UPLB MVT came up with abright idea again. We started our yell with "Maraming Salamat, Odiongan" to express our sincere gratitude to the locals of Odiongan.

It was very hot that day and I feel jealous because we don't have jackets but I think it was another amazing day because the varsity teams of UPLB created a bond. We were united for our Pamantasang Hirang, UPLB. Even though we didn't prepare a yell beforehand, we managed to cram and yell proudly to express that we are proud to represent UPLB in the STRASUC Sports Olympics 2019.

My main thought that afternoon after seeing the delegates from other colleges and universities: "Game on." and "Jacket lang yan, UP parin kami others kayo."

Before parade: Fresh
